The White Diamond

February 8, 2008

For those of you that do or have lived around here you will be shocked to know that until today I have never eaten at the White Diamond.  Honest, Dan and I tried to go around his birthday this past year, but it was packed and we ended up somewhere else.  Today I have fabulous news to share: I have officially partaken of food from none other than the White Diamond of  Bonaire.  Would you like to know how I can best describe it?  Greasy (which may be an understatement but is probably the nicest way of telling you my opinion).  Since I have been pregnant, I have stayed away from any heavy, greasy foods and today’s lunch was a definite shock to my system.  At least now I don’t feel like a horrid resident of Bonaire because I have eaten at the White Diamond.   Dan will be thrilled!

Oh what a sad description. Did you have a BBQ sandwich? They’re the best!

Jennifer, Jessica is not the connoisseur of good BBQ that I would like, you’ll have to forgive her negative impression.

Daniel Steven Perdue I am going to have to hurt you! I like more tomato based BBQ rather than the mustard like they serve and what Dan’s family likes. My grandparents made their own BBQ when I grew up so I have very definite opinions as to how it should taste.

Shocked is an understatement. You are now an official resident of Bonaire. Mr. Sisson offered me a job paying 5 cents an hour as a car hop there when I was about 10 years old. My parents wouldn’t let me take it. Imagine where I would have been today if I had gotten that entrepenurial opportunity of a lifetime.
