Moooving Along

April 24, 2006

Dan and I had a lovely weekend working around his home. The grass is cut, flowers planted in the pots out front, the ant beds were treated, and the flower bed out front has been weeded. Dan “destroyed the habitats” of the birds living in the garage and front porch, he was actually very sweet and concerned for their well being, but it really did need to be done. It was busy, but we were able to accomplish a lot.

Then Monday morning came around. Oh, what a Monday morning it has been thus far. As I was leaving my home around 7:30 this morning, a kind passer-by met me in the drive to tell me that our cows had decided to eat grass near the highway…on the wrong side of the fence. Great. After calling in recruits (the guys at the office as well as my dad), we successfully convinced the offending cows to get back into the pasture, finally. Within an hour’s time, I had gone from a very neat, professional looking college graduate to a dirty, nappy haired girl playing with her cows. That is right, it was one of my finer moments. Hopefully the rest of the day will go a bit more, well, normal!

Thanks for all your help this weekend, it really made a big difference.

I’m sure that you still looked lovely even after corralling the cows.
