Our Sweet Rabun
A week ago today, Dan and I’s life changed forever. God blessed us with an amazing little girl whom we named Rabun Ophie Perdue. She is an awesome addition to our little family. The whole experience was indescribable and made me realize just how lucky I am to have Dan Perdue as my husband, he was and is phenomenal. My heart is absolutely overflowing with joy and love. Rabun has been such a sweet baby since the day she was born and I am looking forward to what God has in store for her life.
Exciting Update!
So back to this morning’s doctor appointment…
She says that I am partially dilated and effaced and we are going to be induced in the morning! No, this is not a joke, I am being completely serious. We get to meet our little one tomorrow and are very excited! To be honest I am very apprehensive about the whole birthing experience, but I figure if my cows can do it I can too!
38 Weeks
Officially two weeks out from the due date, we are truly very excited. Part of me wants to meet our little one so much I can hardly stand it. The other part of me is practical and knows that the baby will come when he or she is ready and only God knows when that will be. If I get any great and exciting news tomorrow at the doctor, I will let you know, but for right now things are going steady and we are just waiting.
Baby Shower
A friend of mine just emailed this picture to me of my mom and I at the church shower. As you can see, I am getting big! Just a matter of weeks to go!
One More Month!
Today marks exactly one month from our official due date. We will be 36 weeks tomorrow. Wahooo!
Dan and I are very excited and feel like we have a lot done for the baby’s arrival. Everything isn’t exactly perfect, don’t get me wrong, but we are off to an awesome start and would be okay if our little munchkin arrived tomorrow (we think).
I get the pleasure of going to the doctor every week starting tomorrow for the remainder of the pregnancy. Exciting stuff, right? We have been doing our weekly childbirth classes on Saturday afternoons and have two weeks left to go. Dan is hilarious when he coaches my breathing, I can’t help but giggle at times. Somehow my six foot husband looming over me as he imitates the breathing pattern is really funny to me. He really is very sweet about it. We even had the pleasure of watching “the video” recently. All I can say is wow and wonder just what kind of women volunteer to be the subjects for such a production.
