It seems that he knew well before I that no matter what or how much you plan, something can and will go wrong. The words above were written in 1785, it is 2006 and the same is true today.
I am a planner, a little obsessive compulsive at times. Throughout the course of planning this wedding and getting the shower dates together, I have found that things don’t always go the way I think is best, proper, or like Dan and I think they should. There are dissappoinments all along the way that we are having to deal with and take in stride. It would be easier if we could see them coming, but we cannot. The neat thing is that no matter what comes our way or falls out of place, we are able to lean on one another for support. Just Jessica and Dan. That is enough for me.
Jordan’s Job
My dear sweet younger brother Jordan got his first job. He offically works at Smith Animal Hospital in Perry where he has the great pleasure of scooping poop. Pretty stinky for a first job, but eventually he will move up and be able to help the actual vet more and he is getting paid more than minimum wage. Honestly though, I have been kind of shocked at how well he handles it all, he really seems to enjoy it. This is absolutely horrible to admit, but I am really happy about all of this, it seems as a side benefit I will be able to board my dog Roy for no charge if an occassion ever arrives where I need to do so. I know, I am a horrible big sister.
Captain Jack
Yes, it is the middle of the night. Dan and I did something fun and spontaneous this evening…we went to see (at the midnight showing, mind you) “Pirates of the Caribbean.” It was, well, honestly, rather disappointing. I absolutely loved the first movie, thought it was great. This “Dead Man’s Chest” addition was not the best thing ever as a lot of people would have had you believe, I honestly am very upset that it wasn’t even that good, much less better than the first one. The movie leaves no doubt that there will be more installments of “Pirates” to come. Oh joy.
